Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: X-Ray Technician - Discipline: Allied Health Professional - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 10 hours - Employment Type: Travel Job Position: X-Ray Tech Location: Huntington, WV Contract Length: 13 weeks Shift: Day shift, 4x10 hour shifts (07:00 - 17:30), Monday-Thursday Job duties: Prepare patients for radiologic procedures, explaining the process and positioning them correctly. Operate X-ray equipment to capture images of patients' internal structures (bones, organs, tissues). Adjust equipment settings based on the type of exam and patient specifics. Review images for quality and accuracy before sending them to radiologists for diagnosis. Maintain patient records and ensure proper documentation of procedures. Follow safety protocols to protect patients and staff from unnecessary radiation exposure. Clean and maintain X-ray equipment and work areas. Assist physicians during procedures as needed. Adhere to hospital and regulatory guidelines regarding patient confidentiality and infection control. Communicate with interdisciplinary teams for patient care coordination.
