Job Description Marshall University’s Department of Natural
Resources and Earth Sciences (College of Science) seeks a qualified
and dedicated individual for a tenure-track position at rank of
Assistant Professor of Natural Resources and Recreation Management.
The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to
excellence in both teaching and research. This position provides an
opportunity to contribute to the academic growth and development of
students while engaging in impactful research related to natural
resources, recreation, tourism, sustainability, human dimensions of
the environment, outdoor/environmental education, adventure

Resources and Earth Sciences proudly offers a diverse array of
undergraduate and graduate programs: B.S. in Natural Resources and
Recreation Management – This program equips students with the
skills to manage and conserve natural resources, develop
sustainable outdoor recreation opportunities, and address the
complexities of natural resource management in the 21st Century.
B.S. in Environmental Science – Our Environmental Science program
focuses on understanding and mitigating environmental challenges,
including climate change, pollution, and habitat conservation.
Graduates are prepared to tackle complex and pressing environmental
issues. B.S. in Specialty Agriculture – This program emphasizes the
cultivation and management of specialty crops, sustainable
agriculture, and innovative farming techniques. Students gain the

B.S. in Geology – The Geology program explores Earth’s history,
natural hazards, and geological processes. Students learn to
analyze geological data, study the planet’s evolution, and

Natural Resources and the Environment – Our transdisciplinary
master’s program allows students to delve into the complexities of
natural resource management, environmental conservation, and
