Job Description:
The Director of Data will lead the digital competency center for
the enterprise.The Director will create the strategy and execute
the roadmap for the enterprise data foundation, and achieve long
term goals for value creation and technology landscape
simplification. The role reports to the Vice President,
Optimization & Business Technology.The primary responsibilities
will include but not limited to: Lead team to develop proof of
concepts/minimum viable products utilizing agile and design
thinking methodologies Understanding of new technologies such as
AI/ML, RPA, and Cloud capabilities Develop ongoing digital fluency
program for the enterprise Lead the Data organization, including
Data Engineering, Analytics Engineering, Data Science and Data
Governance Evolve and support Data Engineering capabilities to
fully develop an Enterprise Data Foundation using Modern Data
Architectures in AWS Develop an Enterprise-wide Data Governance &
Quality program Drive outcomes using Cloud technologies and guide
the enterprise in the technical application of AWS Cloud
technologies for business results Set standards for Cloud usage and
management through leading the Cloud CoE Skills and Credentials:
Master's or Bachelor's degree in business, computer science,
computer engineering, electrical engineering, system analysis or a
related field of study, or equivalent experience 10+ year's
relevant experience in combined innovation, data engineering, data
science, and data analytics domain Strong technical background in
Modern Data Architectures, Data Engineering and Analytics
techniques Strong technical background in the use of Cloud
technologies and how they should be implemented and managed Strong
people leadership skills, ability to manage by influence and guide
key technology design decisions in close collaboration with IT
leaders and business partners Practical in approach to
decision-making and problem-solving that is principle-based
Exceptional soft and interpersonal skills, including teamwork,
facilitation, and negotiation Knowledge of business ecosystems,
cloud, SaaS, infrastructure as a service (IaaS), platform as a
service (PaaS), APIs, Machine Learning, analytics Exposure and
understanding of existing, new and emerging technologies, and
processing environment Excellent written and oral communication
skills, and including technical writing effectively articulating
complex concepts to a diverse business community Can lead large
groups with differing priorities towards a common goal Remains
unbiased, and displays intellectual integrity Highly collaborative
and supportive of business and of its ideals and strategies
Additional requirements:Regular attendance; the ability to
communicate effectively orally and in writing in English with co-
workers, supervisors, internal and external customers; the ability
to work in stressful conditions; the ability to adapt and respond
in changing circumstances; the ability to use a personal computer
with the Windows(R) operating system to complete time sheets, send
and receive email, and access information posted on the Company's
intranet; availability as needed to work on both a scheduled and
call-out basis; and the ability to workat the assigned job site.
