Job Description:
**Lead System Architect's** responsibilities are as follows:+
work with the Guardian onshore and offshore delivery resources,
product management, and engineering management to develop and
document technical design for customer-specific solutions+ possess
deep understanding of software development technical aspects+ have
strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills to
effectively collaborate with customers and partners, business
analysts, lead other project team architects, and work with
developers and QA+ take responsibility for designing and ensuring
validity of architectural solutions within single or multiple
domains by working closely with and coordinating multiple project
team architects' efforts+ develop cross-domain integration designs
according to existing best practices and establish new
architectural conventions+ work with business analysts and
customers to determine the scope and work out a high-level
architectural solution+ with a full product vision in mind, define
technical strategy and identify internal and external technical
dependencies and task implementation priorities+ evaluate business
requirements from a technical standpoint+ gather technical
information from customers and service providers to better fulfill
functional and non-functional requirements+ provide technical
training and presentations for the project team and product
stakeholders**Essential Duties and
Responsibilities****Architectural design:**+ investigate and solve
a variety of architecture related problems, such as performance,
scalability, and integration+ research and develop new ideas,
solutions, and improvements+ upon request, participate in software
quality control activities, assure product compliance with
requirements and specifications in all stages of design,
development, and implementation+ communicate design issues,
suggestions and improvements, and customization to the core product
technical leads+ solve integration and architectural design
problems that can span across multiple domains+ support other
project team architects, review and validate their architectural
design and documentation+ create optimal deployment profiles+
assist in resolving performance bottlenecks**Work stream
responsibilities:**+ be responsible for architecture and technical
decisions made in assigned work streams, prepare architectural and
design documentation+ review and approve functional and
non-functional development and create implementation guidelines for
developers+ support developers during implementation by explaining
design principles and details and solving design and implementation
issues+ participate in code reviews+ work with business analysts,
review and approve business analysis requirements documentation+
provides scope estimations for assigned work
streams**Communication:**+ present high-level and low-level design
to relevant stakeholders+ report potential risks and dependencies
to the project lead architect and delivery managers+ participate in
architectural discussions and lead such discussions on the
architectural level internally, and, upon request, with the
customer and partner teams+ work with vendor product management and
engineering departments to align project implementation design and
architecture for compatibility with future base versions and to
minimize potential upgrade effort+ contribute to the knowledge
sharing platform**Planning and reporting:**+ participate in initial
backlog estimation and ongoing estimation during project execution
if requirements are changed or added (may involve other architects
on the project)**Critical Competencies**+ possess theoretical and
practical knowledge in programming technologies and software
development lifecycle+ have strong understanding of object-oriented
software development methodology+ possess knowledge of of the
following:+ architecture design patterns+ code level design
patterns+ enterprise design patterns+ cross-system integration
patterns+ write clear architectural design proposals+ possess
knowledge of Agile scrum+ understand legacy data conversion
principles+ have deep knowledge and experience with the following:+
Java+ Spring framework, including IoC, transactions, and web
services+ Hibernate+ microservice architecture+ eventing
architecture (Kafka)+ SOA, REST+ cloud and distributed
architectures; AWS+ Cassandra+ Postgress**Location**+ Hybrid Remote
- 1 - 2 Days a week at a Guardian Office (Holmdel, NJ, Bethlehem,
PA or Stamford, CT)+ Will consider 2 x a month at a Guardian Office

Range**$91,380.00 - $169,690.00The salary range reflected above is
a good faith estimate of base pay for the primary location of the
position. The salary for this position ultimately will be
determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and
abilities of the successful candidate. In addition to salary, this
role may also be eligible for annual, sales, or other incentive
