Job Description:
JOB SUMMARY
About the Position: Serves a Senior Information Technology (IT)
Specialist and manager responsible for examining the command's
short- and long-term information management and technology needs.
Functions as the strategic planner, customer relations liaison, and
overseer of the information management and technology
infrastructure. Develops policies and procedures and uses
technology to enhance the command's IT services and products.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Examines the command?s short- and long-term information management
and technology needs to help the organization reach its
objectives.
Exercises IM Program responsibility formulating, developing,
preparing, presenting, and administrating the CECOM?s IM policies,
procedures, goals, objectives, and long and short-range
planning.
Oversees the project management, operations, and support for the
CECOM enterprise business applications and collaboration tools
under the CECOM G6.
Oversees and provides guidance in the preparation of supporting
data needed for the acquisition of IM-related hardware, software,
communications and services to ensure that the best, most
cost-effective support to CECOM users.
Supervises a team of IT professionals, performing the full range of
technical and administrative supervisory duties responsible for
understanding and actively supporting the Command's Affirmative

Initiates or participates in review and improvement of work
methods, organizational features, and the structuring of positions
to eliminate unnecessary ones and achieve optimum content in those
remaining.
Responsible for implementation and enforcement of all safety rules,

specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the
Federal service which includes: 1) Provide policy guidance on
Information Management functions to staff and senior leadership;
AND 2) Supervise a multi-disciplinary team of specialist performing
information management/information technology functions; AND 3)
Implement new technology initiatives as well as programmatic
efforts; AND 4) Identify emerging information technology issues or
concerns for early mitigation. Current Department of the Army must
upload SF50 for verification. You will be evaluated on the basis of
your level of competency in the following areas: Decision Making
Information Management Planning and Evaluating Technical
Competence
