**Job Description**Join Intel-and build a better tomorrow. Intel
is in the midst of an exciting transformation, with a vision to
create and extend computing technology to connect and enrich the
lives of every person on Earth. Join us and help us create the next
generation of technologies that will shape the future for decades
to come.Intel's Neuromorphic Computing Lab is pioneering a new
domain of brain-inspired computer architecture defined by large
parallel collections of neural processing units operating as
sparsely active event-driven nonlinear dynamical systems. This
technology promises orders of magnitude gains in efficiency and
speed compared to conventional architectures for a large class of
emerging AI workloads. While neuromorphic hardware architecture and
algorithms have progressed rapidly, the development of professional
neuromorphic software tools, methods, and frameworks is still at a
nascent stage. We are looking for a talented software architect to
help drive development of Lava, the new open source framework that
re-thinks the entire software stack for the unique needs of
neuromorphic computing: from programming and training to
compilation and deployment to execution and dataflow. This role
requires a strong familiarity with AI/ML concepts and frameworks,
event-based parallel programming (e.g. actor model or communicating
sequential processes), and embedded real-time systems. In this role
you will work with a team of software engineers in partnership with
a growing external research ecosystem contributing to the Lava
framework. You will participate in the group's neuromorphic
research as part of a collaborative and iterative co-development
effort advancing the hardware architecture, software, algorithms,
and applications. You will work closely with users and partners
spanning government, corporate, and academic research groups, with
the objective to prepare this technology for commercial
deployment. The breadth of this group's charter and the demands for
innovation call for an extremely versatile and technically strong
