Makino is seeking a Senior Project Manager for the Mason, Ohio
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Establish plans for the execution of orders including required
manpower, scheduling, training, and sourcing.
Understand and provide input into the technical and commercial
details of contracts with customers.
Develop, update, and meet project budgets including periodic
status of percent completion for cost accounting audits.
Interface with customer, acting as primary focal point for
Manage team of cross-functional engineers to successfully
deliver projects to meet customer expectations. This includes
Applications Engineers, Mechanical Engineers, Controls Engineers,
Field Service Engineers, and other resources.
Coordinate installation and operation of equipment in our Mason,
Ohio facility and at the customer facilities.
Work with Makino Japan to schedule shipment of machines,
engineer unique options, and manage cross-national projects.
Establish and coordinate the training and delivery of
documentation to the customer.
Required Skills Must have demonstrated ability to manage
responsibilities of overall project budget and schedule.
Good presentation skills are needed for customer and management
Must be able to effectively interact with customers, internal
departments, and 3rd party suppliers.
Must have experience managing 3rd party suppliers (quality,
schedule, and budget).
Technical background with a solid understanding of the
interaction of people and machinery required.
Travel will be required. Must have the ability to travel up to
25% domestically and internationally.
Required Experience Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or
Minimum five years Project Management experience managing the
installation of large, capital equipment projects.
Project Management Certification a plus.
