Job Description:
Responsibilities: Provides for activities of daily living by
assisting with serving meals, feeding patients as necessary;
ambulating, dressing, turning, and positioning patients; providing
fresh water and nourishment between meals. Demonstrates ability of
providing assistance with resident grooming and hygiene needs. This
would include: complete/partial baths, oral care, dentures, Foley
care, hair/nail care, shaving, and bed making. Assists in the
toileting needs of the residents, records outputs accurately.
Empties drainage collection devices, completes documentation of BM
and participates in toileting scheduling, as necessary. Answers
call lights promptly; responds promptly to resident inquiries,
reports any abnormal findings or complaints to licensed nurse.
Obtains vital signs, weights and intake and output at the direction
of the licensed nurse. Participate in resident programming, as
directed. Assists the nurse with various duties as directed. Ensure
accurate reporting of all injury/accidents in the facility to the
licensed nurse timely. Ensure all documentation is completed
accurately. Communicate effectively with licensed nurse regarding
resident care issues. Maintain all aspects of confidentiality
relating to the residents and any policies or procedures at the
community. Provide emotional support to residents, as needed.
Maintain an acceptable attendance record to provide continuity of
service to our residents.
