Job Description Malone Healthcare - Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN Stepdown for a travel nursing job in Huntington, West Virginia. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Stepdown - Discipline: RN - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Job Description: 13 weeks 3x12 NIGHT 5 North/Step-down is a 20-bed all private room unit. We strive for a 4:1 ratio but can have a 5:1 ratio depending on our staffing situation. We have a mixture of pulmonary pneumonia COPD BiPAP/cpap etc. cardiac a-fib heart failure etc. neuro stroke GI bleed and surgery patients who are stable with a higher risk of becoming unstable. Our unit is equipped to house 20 stepdown patients at one time however all patients do not have to be step-down in order to be on our unit. We accept patients who do not require invasive monitoring. There may be a combination of adult med-surg telemetry and step-down patients at any given time based upon bed availability house wide. Examples of critical drips we can administer to our step-down patients: Amiodarone Esmolol Insulin Lasix Cardizem and Nitroglycerin.
