3/30/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with
Mindlance Health to find a qualified Stepdown RN in Huntington,
West Virginia, 25701! ID: 76266193 Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 -
07:00) Description: 13 weeks3x12 NIGHT5 North/Step-down is a 20-bed
(all private room) unit. We strive for a 4:1 ratio but can have a
5:1 ratio, depending on our staffing situation. We have a mixture
of pulmonary (pneumonia, COPD, BiPAP/cpap, etc.), cardiac (a-fib,
heart failure, etc.), neuro (stroke), GI (bleed), and surgery
patients who are stable with a higher risk of becoming unstable.
Our unit is equipped to house 20 stepdown patients at one time,
however, all patients do not have to be step-down in order to be on
our unit. We accept patients who do not require invasive
monitoring. There may be a combination of adult med-surg,
telemetry, and step-down patients at any given time, based upon bed
availability house wide. Examples of critical drips we can
administer to our step-down patients: Amiodarone, Esmolol, Insulin,
Lasix, Cardizem, and Nitroglycerin.BLS, ACLS, & NIHSS required1
