Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Locum Radiologist to provide high-quality diagnostic imaging services in Charleston, WV. You will be responsible for interpreting diverse radiologic studies, performing essential procedures such as biopsies, drainages, lumbar punctures, and joint injections, including infant BE exams. This role offers a unique chance to work in a fast-paced hospital environment with a diverse case mix, supporting our commitment to excellent patient outcomes while enjoying flexible scheduling. Required Skills Valid medical license and board certification in Radiology. Proven experience in interpreting XR, CT, MR, US, and NM modalities. Ability to perform infant BE exams and complex interventional procedures (biopsies, drainages, lumbar punctures, arthrograms). Strong understanding of hospital protocols, safety standards, and radiation regulations. Excellent communication and collaboration skills with medical staff and teams. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with high case volume. Nice to Have Skills Sub-specialty training or experience in light IR procedures. Familiarity with hospital EMR systems. Prior experience in a locum or temporary physician role. Additional certifications in interventional radiology or pediatric radiology. Preferred Education and Experience Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO). Minimum of 3 years of post-residency radiology experience, with demonstrated proficiency in diagnostic and interventional procedures. Experience performing infant BE examinations is highly desirable. Other Requirements Ability to perform on-site work at hospital facilities. Willingness to work hours with expectations of 90-100 cases per 8-hour shift. Availability to cover shifts with flexibility around holidays and overtime as needed. Compensation of $19.50/hourly (all-inclusive, including travel and expenses). Compliance with all licensing, certification, and medical standards applicable to the role.
