Description: Medical Surgical/Oncology Registered Nurse position
available. Shifts are from 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM. This role requires
working weekdays and every other weekend. Floating to other units
may be required to meet facility needs. The unit provides care for
29 beds, focused on adult patients battling cancer. Experience with
urology and telemetry patients is also included. Clinicians are
expected to manage a patient ratio of 4-5:1 during days and 5-6:1
at night. Chemotherapy administration experience is preferred but
not mandatory. Candidates must possess skills in telemetry, central
line draws, blood administration, and PCA pump management. Further
responsibilities include assisting with bone marrow aspirations and
managing chest tubes. Educating families on oncological processes
and providing palliative care is essential. Applicants should have
critical thinking skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced
environment. References from management or charge nurses within the
last two years are required. Candidates must adhere to vaccination
policies for flu and COVID-19 as applicable. Travelers must be
flexible in scheduling and open to accommodating blocked schedule
requests. This position requires a minimum of two years of RN
experience. Candidates must have a permanent address that is
