Job Description Job Description FamilyCare is looking for a Full-time or Part-time Radiology Technologist to work at our St. Albans site. Regular schedules Monday through Friday with some weekends in a small Outpatient Office environment. No night shifts. Qualifications: National Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and Licensed by the State. Basic Function: Produce all Radiological images and oversee the digital transfer to specified Radiologist for interpretation. Duties and Responsibilities: Meet and greet patients and explain the Radiologic Ability to position each patient per ordered exam Knowledge of when to use protective devices such as lead aprons and shields to meet Radiation Safety Standard Competency to set the x-ray tube to the proper distance and angle for the examination being performed Produce the best diagnostic images that are reproducible using the computer program for the department Generate findings report for interpretation Oversee and manage the transfer and archiving of digital images/reports Maintain all patient records according to HIPPA standards Wear monitoring dosimeter at all times while performing Radiologic Exams Check and Maintain equipment within Radiology Must have the aptitude to set controls using ALARA
