Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Physical Therapist - Discipline: Therapy - Start Date: 03/02/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 8 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel /n Job Description/n American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with at least 1 year acute care experience for a day shift position in a trauma hospital rehabilitation unit. /n /n Responsibilities/n - Position is located in a medical rehabilitation unit within a trauma hospital - Patient population includes primarily stroke patients, accounting for approximately 40% of the caseload - Therapist typically manages 3-4 patients per day, with a maximum of 5, and provides sessions of about 90 minutes each - Work schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:30am to 4:00pm, with no weekends or call required - Potential to float to other sister facilities as needed - Uses Cerner for documentation - Main duties involve providing rehabilitation therapy to predominantly stroke patients - Blocked scheduling is provided Monday through Friday - No restrictions on requested time off - Flu vaccination required during flu season (Oct 1–Mar 31) unless medically exempt - Scrub attire should be any color except blue, forest green, or maroon; unit T-shirts are provided and can be tie-dyed during breaks - COVID vaccination is not required - Former perm employees are ineligible within 2 years of last day worked /n /n Requirements/n - Minimum of 1 year experience as a Physical Therapist in an acute care setting required - BLS certification required - West Virginia PT license required prior to start; pending state license accepted for consideration - First-time travelers accepted if they have acute care experience - License required if applicable /n Benefits/n - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts /n American Traveler Job ID P-672047.
