TravelNurseSource is working with Revolution Healthcare Services to
find a qualified Med/Surg / Tele RN in Charleston, West Virginia,
25304! Job Opportunity – Emergency Department Holding Unit RN –
West Virginia Start Date: March 5, 2026 (orientation held every
other Thursday) Location: Charleston, West Virginia Compensation:
Details provided to qualified applicants Schedule: 3x12 or 4x12
night shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, weekdays with every other weekend
required. Choice of 36 or 48 guaranteed hours per week. Float to
Emergency Department as needed. No call required. Highlights: Work
in a Level IV Trauma Center and major teaching hospital with 838
staffed beds Nurse-to-patient ratio of 5:1 with adult and geriatric
population Utilize Cerner EMR system with comprehensive
interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services,
pharmacy, and rapid response teams Manage observation patients
including chest pain rule-outs, TIAs, chronic anemia, and CHF/COPD
exacerbations Orientation every other Thursday with non-billable
modules completed prior to start Free parking provided for
travelers Requirements: Active West Virginia or Compact RN license
(pending license accepted for submission but must be active by
start date) Minimum 2 years RN experience required; minimum 1 year
in-specialty experience required Current certifications: BLS, ACLS,
PALS (all via American Heart Association), and CPI (available
through facility and must be obtained at least 1 week before start)
TNCC certification preferred Experience in MS/Telemetry, ER
Holding, and care of ventilated patients preferred Proficiency with
Cerner charting system required Advanced clinical skills including
IV therapy, phlebotomy, port access, blood product administration,
peripheral line management, and IV starts Experience managing
heparin protocols and cardiac drips without titration Competency in
neurological/psychiatric conditions including CVA, seizure
disorders, and substance withdrawal Knowledge of respiratory
management including CPAP/BiPAP, high flow nasal cannula, oxygen
administration, and non-invasive airway management Tracheostomy
care and ventilator management experience preferred Minimum 2
professional references from managers or charge nurses within the
past 2 years Flu vaccination required during flu season (October 1
– March 31) unless medical exemption provided Must reside more than
75 miles from facility (cases between 75-100 miles considered
individually) First-time travelers accepted with appropriate
