X-Ray Tech Location: South Charleston, WV Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,397 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Job Title: X-Ray Technologist Profession: Radiologic Technologist Specialty: X-Ray Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Evening and Night Hours per Shift: 8 hours (2 shifts of 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM) and 12 hours (2 shifts of 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM) Experience: Minimum of 1 year in a hospital setting License: Licensed as Radiologic Technologist by the State Certifications: ARRT, BLS Must-Have: Minimum of 1 year experience in a hospital setting is preferred. Experience in the operating room and fluoroscopy procedures. Good communication skills and empathy. Knowledge of specialized imaging technology, including operation and maintenance of C-arm and O-arm. Understanding of safety measures to prevent over-exposure to radiation for patients and staff. Physical ability to position patients to capture quality images while ensuring patient comfort. Attention to detail for maintaining accurate patient medical records. Description: The department features 2 routine x-ray rooms, 1 fluoroscopy room, and 1 specials room, among other equipment. Routine x-rays and fluoroscopy studies such as UGI, esophagram, and BE are performed. Interventional radiology procedures, including arthrograms, myelograms, and nephrostomies, are conducted. Scoliosis and leg length imaging are also included in the responsibilities. Average number of scans/studies performed daily is approximately 120, combining radiology and fluoroscopy. Familiarity with EMR and PACS, specifically Meditech software and hardware, is required. Department specific equipment includes GE OEC C-arms and Siemens fluoroscopy units. There is no requirement to float or cover additional areas. Radiologists are in-house. The position does not require starting IVs. Shifts are scheduled without self-scheduling options. Weekend and holiday work is required. Scrubs are required to be in black; however, they are not provided. Specific department-oriented training will be conducted for all new hires.
