Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Job Title Director of
Cardiovascular Services Job Summary The Director of Cardiovascular
Services provides strategic and operational leadership for all
aspects of the cardiovascular service line. This role oversees
program development, clinical operations, and multidisciplinary
teams to enhance patient outcomes, ensure quality care, and
optimize financial performance. The Director collaborates with
physicians, advanced practice providers, and hospital leadership to
elevate care delivery and patient experience. Key Responsibilities
Lead all aspects of cardiovascular services, including ambulatory,
acute, post-acute, and community care Develop, implement, and
monitor strategic plans for the service line Drive continuous
improvement in clinical outcomes, patient satisfaction, and
cost-effectiveness Design, evaluate, and implement innovative
programs to improve quality and efficiency Ensure compliance with
accreditation and regulatory standards Collaborate with other
service line leaders and system executives for coordinated patient
care Recruit, mentor, and develop nursing and clinical staff,
fostering teamwork and accountability Oversee staff education,
competency, and adherence to clinical and patient safety standards
Manage financial performance of the cardiovascular service line
Model organizational values and promote patient-centered care
Maintain regular attendance and perform additional duties as
assigned Required Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Nursing
(BSN) Current RN license (or eligible for licensure) in the state
of employment 5 7 years of progressive leadership experience in
cardiovascular services Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary
teams and collaborate effectively with surgeons and anesthesia
providers Current BLS and ACLS certifications Preferred
Qualifications Experience in strategic planning and program
development Knowledge of unit-level financial performance and
resource management Experience in talent recruitment, retention,
and staff engagement Track record of driving improvements in
patient outcomes and satisfaction Work Environment Hospital or
cardiovascular specialty department Leadership-focused,
patient-centered clinical environment Collaborative,
multidisciplinary team setting May involve moderate travel between
units or facilities
