Registered Nurse (RN) | Med/Surg / Telemetry Location: Parkersburg, WV Agency: Mindlance Health Pay: $2,272 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Mindlance Health to find a qualified Med/Surg / Tele RN in Parkersburg, West Virginia, 26101! ID: 75180098 Shift: 12H Nights Stepdown experience required, 12 hr nights, weekends as scheduled Description: Unit Stepdown Float Pool - NightsALL SUBMITS MUST INCLUDE DRIVER'S LICENSE WITH CURRENT PERM ADDRESSWhat units are included in the float pool All inpatients units based on competency (ICU, Step-down, medical/surgical). Ratios Depends on unit. Med/surg=1:6. Step-down = 1:4/5. ICU = 1-2/3 Required Certifications BLS, ACLS Common diagnoses/Types of patients Cardiac patients, ortho/neuro, surgical, medical varies by unit Experience or 'Must have' skills Med/Surg background. Step-down Are RNs required to titrate drips? Yes in the step-down areas only Common titratable &/or set rate drips Heparin, Cardizem, nitro, cardene, insulin, dobutamine, dopamine, activase, esmolol, lidocaine, lobatelol, primacore, procanimide, agrostat, verapamil Charge Nurse/House Supervisor Free charge day shift Monday-Friday. House supervisor 24/7 Are there nurse aids on this unit/Ratios Yes RT Equipment (vents, Cpap, BiPap, etc) Cpap and BiPap can be on all units. Vents are in ICU. Chronic trach vents can go to step-down Is there tele on this unit? Monitor Techs? RNs read strips? Yes. We have monitor techs. CVU reads own strips. Shifts & Scheduling 3 for 7am-730pm3 for 7pm 730am Weekend Requirement Every Other Weekend Holiday Requirement If needed Is there a call or standby requirement? No call. If census is down, there could be a standyby requirement How are units assigned? i.e. via text message, daily sheet assignments, set schedule? Staff member calls the staffing office for daily assignment We currently have 9 nurses in the float pool and a robust PCT float pool.Scrub Color/Dress Code Royal Blue Unit/Department specific orientation 3-4 shifts Cancellation may cancel 2 shifts per 13-week assignment and 1 shift for assignments less than 13 weeks Charting BSN License to Trauma Level: Care Shift experience required, 12 hr nights, weekends as scheduled Required (AHA), BLS (AHA) Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Contract Weeks:91 5 Benefits of Travel Nursing Different facilities may use various healthcare technologies and electronic health record systems.
