ARMStaffing is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Parkersburg, West Virginia. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse - Orthopedic-Neuro Unit Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position. Schedule 12-hour shifts: 0700-1930 and 1900-0730, including every-other-weekend shifts. Job Description Join our Orthopedic-Neuro unit, a busy and dynamic 33-bed unit with all private rooms specializing in elective surgeries, including hips, knees, shoulders, as well as neuro surgeries and general MedSurg cases. Responsibilities - Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Orthopedic-Neuro unit. - Monitor patient condition and administer medications as necessary. - Work collaboratively with a dedicated healthcare team, including Charge Nurses and Patient Care Techs. - Utilize EPIC for charting and documentation. - Participate in the self-scheduling process to meet unit needs. - Maintain compliance with unit protocols and standards of care. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure - Current BLS certification (AHA). - EPIC experience required. - Prior experience with orthopedic patients and PCA pumps is essential. - Experience in MedSurg nursing preferred.
