ARMStaffing is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Parkersburg, West Virginia. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse - Stroke Specialty Location Position is available in an unspecified location. Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position. Schedule 12-hour day shifts, with weekends as scheduled. Job Description The position is for a Registered Nurse in the Medical-Surgical Unit, specializing in stroke care. The unit has a daily census ranging from 26 to 281 patients, with an emphasis on managing conditions such as COPD, pneumonia, abdominal pain, and surgical overflow. Experience with stroke patients and the NIHSS certification would be advantageous. Responsibilities - Provide comprehensive nursing care for stroke and other medical-surgical patients. - Monitor patient progress and response to treatment. - Document patient assessments and care activities using the EPIC charting system. - Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure quality patient care. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure - BLS certification (AHA) required. - Experience with EPIC charting system is highly preferred. - Travel experience is highly preferred. - A valid nursing license for submission is required.
