Doctor of Medicine | Oncology - General/Other Location: Charleston, WV Employer: VieMed Healthcare Staffing Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Shift Information: Days - 8 hours Start Date: ASAP About the Position Exciting Opportunity for a Hematology/Oncology Physician Join our esteemed healthcare team as a Hematology/Oncology Physician and make a meaningful impact on patient care in a dynamic cancer treatment environment. This full-time position offers the chance to work in a collaborative setting, providing specialized care to adults within a state-of-the-art Cancer Center. If you are dedicated, skilled, and eager to advance your career, this role is ideal for you. Key Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive hematology and oncology care to patients aged 18 and up. Support a multidisciplinary team including nurses, CMAs, and advanced practice providers. Perform specialized procedures such as bone marrow biopsies. Manage an average of 15 patients per day in an outpatient clinic setting. Participate in inpatient call duties approximately every third week. Utilize Cerner EMR for documentation and patient management. Required Skills and Qualifications: Board Certification in Hematology/Oncology. Valid state medical license. DEA certification. Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant clinical experience. Strong procedural skills including bone marrow biopsies. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Nice to Have Skills: Additional certifications in oncology or related specialties. Experience with hospital-based practice settings. BLS and ACLS certifications. Preferred Education and Experience: Completion of an Oncology Fellowship. Proven track record in outpatient hematology/oncology care. Prior experience working with Cerner EMR. Other Requirements: Clean background; pre-authorization and background checks required immediately upon offer. Willingness to obtain temporary or permanent state licensure. Flexibility to work day shifts from 08:00 to 16:30, Monday through Friday. Ability to adapt to hospital and clinic environments.
