Compensation Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1,590–$1,710 Travel Nurse Job Details Location: Charleston, WV 25304 (West Virginia healthcare jobs) Healthcare Setting: Medical-Surgical (Med/Surg) Unit Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) position Contract Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour night shifts (3 shifts per week) Weekly Hours: 36 hours Start Date: December 15, 2025 Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (West Virginia or compact state) BLS Certification (required prior to first shift) ACLS Certification (required prior to first shift) Minimum 2 years of recent bedside clinical experience in a Med/Surg or acute care setting Strong assessment, documentation, and communication skills Med/Surg RN Responsibilities Perform comprehensive nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and promptly using electronic medical records (EMR) Participate in patient rehabilitation programs and discharge planning from admission Communicate changes in patient status to care team members to ensure continuity and patient safety Supervise and provide direction to LPNs, CNAs, and orientees Promote patient and employee safety by adhering to hospital policies and safety procedures Contribute positively to team building and a supportive work environment Assume charge nurse responsibilities as needed after orientation Engage in ongoing professional development and continuing education Ready to take the next step in your nursing career?
