Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Charleston, West
Virginia, 25304! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing
Specialty: Medical Surgical/Oncology Duration: 13 weeks Shift:
Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years
required License: West Virginia or Compact RN License required
Certifications: BLS; Chemotherapy Administration preferred
Must-Have: Strong candidates without Oncology experience will be
considered Description: This position is for a Medical
Surgical/Oncology RN working 3x12-hour night shifts. Every other
weekend is required. Clinicians may float within their scope to
meet facility needs. The unit has a total of 29 beds. Patients will
include adults with medical and surgical conditions battling
cancer, as well as palliative care cases. Family education
regarding oncological processes will also be part of the role.
Telemetry and urology patients will be included in the care
responsibilities. Ratios will be 4-5 patients to 1 RN during the
day and 5-6 patients to 1 RN at night. Skills required include
telemetry, central line draws, blood administration, PCA pumps, and
bone marrow aspiration assistance. Pleurx chest tube management and
chemotherapy administration experience is preferred. Candidates
must be open to accommodating blocked schedule requests. All
required certifications must be verified and submitted. This
position is for a short-term acute care facility. The team provides
interdisciplinary support for patient care. Importance is placed on
safe medication administration and management competencies.
Travelers are expected to adhere to all facility protocols and
policies. Candidates with a permanent address greater than 100
miles from the facility will be considered. References must include
at least two from managers or charge nurses within the past two
