ORAL AND MAXILLOFACIAL SURGEON CAREER OPPORTUNITY IN CHARLESTON, WV The Charleston Area Medical Center, Inc. (CAMC), located in Charleston, WV is seeking an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon to join our dynamic team of healthcare professionals. This position is an excellent opportunity to grow a full scope hospital-based practice in a supportive environment. This established seven surgeon group practice blends the benefits of academic and private practice. There are additional opportunities to conduct research or participate in leadership if desired. ABOUT: Charleston Area Medical Center (CAMC) was established in 1972 and is a nonprofit, 1,138-bed regional tertiary referral center made up of seven hospitals: General Hospital, Greenbrier Valley Medical Center, Memorial Hospital, Plateau Medical Center, Teays Valley Hospital, Women and Children’s Hospital, and Charleston Surgical Hospital. In addition to the hospitals, CAMC is comprised of the Institute for Academic Medicine and the CAMC Foundation. More than 1,500 providers are members of the medical staff of CAMC, which is also West Virginia's premiere medical teaching facility, hosting, on any given day, more than 1,000 students in programs leading to degrees or certifications in health professions. Requirements: MD, DDS/DMD Completion of an accredited residency program in oral and maxillofacial surgery. Board certification or eligibility for board certification in oral and maxillofacial surgery. Active licensure to practice dentistry in the state of West Virginia. Excellent clinical skills and proficiency in performing a wide range of oral and maxillofacial surgical procedures. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with patients, families, and colleagues. Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care and maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and ethical conduct. Desire to help develop an academic surgical program. The center has locations at CAMC’s General and Women and Children’s hospitals. The center’s physicians are board certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and serve as the primary resource team for cleft, craniomaxillofacial surgery, trauma as well as providing services in head and neck surgical oncology, microvascular reconstructive surgery, dentoalveolar, and cosmetics for CAMC and Southern West Virginia.
