Continuing education options POSITION SUMMARY Under the clinical
supervision of the Director of Nursing, the Medical Assistant is
responsible for performing select non-complex medical interventions
on the health care unit and housing units safely, accurately, and
according to standard procedure. Medical Assistants work under the
direct and indirect clinical guidance of a Registered Nurse or
Licensed Practical Nurse. Utilizes electronic medical record system
as applicable throughout the scope of duties and responsibilities.
JOB REQUIREMENTS The following requirements list the minimum to
qualify. An equivalent combination of education and experience may
be accepted. LICENSURE: None required CERTIFICATION: Current,
unrestricted certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA). Current CPR certification.
EDUCATION: Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 2 years pervious clinical experience;
correctional experience preferred EOE/M/F/D/V 23702
