Pay Information $2,477 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse - Cardiac Telemetry Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required License: WV or Compact RN License required (pending license acceptable) Certifications: BLS; ACLS preferred Must-Have: IV Start Telemetry PCU/IMC experience Description: The position involves caring for pre and post-operative surgical cardiovascular patients and medical cardiac patients who require progressive care and monitoring. The patient population includes vascular patients, amputations, and detox patients. Nurses will float to meet facility needs as required. The unit has a goal of maintaining a patient ratio of 1:4, with a stretch ratio of 5:1 during high demand situations. Responsibilities include assessing and monitoring patients, administering medications and treatments, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams. Familiarity with special procedures such as wound care, chest tubes, and central line management is essential. Candidates should possess the ability to interpret dysrhythmias and manage cardiac drips. Daily census and patient diagnoses include adults requiring telemetry care.
