Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required License: Must have a current RN License Certifications: BCLS, ACLS, PALS required Must-Have: - Experience in acute care and telemetry - Ability to care for pediatric and adolescent patients - Familiarity with telemetry skills - Experience floating to other units including ICU Description: This role involves providing care in a 70-bed facility. Travelers must be experienced and knowledgeable in medical-surgical and telemetry nursing. Registered Nurses may float to other units as needed. House Supervisor support is available 24/7. The patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:5. The schedule includes weekdays and every other weekend. Certifications in Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, and Pediatric Advanced Life Support are required. The role requires skills in accessing and managing ports, blood product administration, and telemetry monitoring. Experience in managing dysrhythmias and using rapid response teams is preferred. The daily census is between 16-20 patients. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
