documentation Certifications: N/A Must-Have: N/A Description: As a
member of an interdisciplinary mental health treatment team, you
will be responsible for assigned mental health interventions for a
caseload of mentally ill criminal offenders. You will conduct
screenings that include detailed mental health screens as well as
risk assessments, which may involve suicide watch assessments.
These tasks will be done within your scope of practice and in
direct consultation with an Independently Licensed Mental Health
Professional when you are not independently licensed. You will
conduct individual and group clinical interventions as prescribed
in the individual mental health treatment plan using clinical
intervention strategies directed by supervision. You will provide
psychosocial group interventions as prescribed on the mental health
treatment plan. You will perform mental health liaison services to
an assigned caseload, monitoring offender progress with their
mental health treatment plan goals. You will complete psychosocial
needs and treatment assessments as part of interdisciplinary
treatment planning. You will complete transfer and discharge
summaries. You will consult with other institution staff regarding
the mental health caseload and the inmates' institutional
adjustment and service needs. You will initiate and maintain
contact with families and community agencies. You will provide and
seek information related to patient care and treatment. You will
make appropriate community referrals as determined by the mental
health treatment team. You will be responsible for writing reports
and documentation, including electronic documentation of inmate
contacts, mental health liaison progress note entries, discharge
plans, and other necessary forms and reports. You will attend
meetings for supervision purposes. You will participate in
in-service training sessions and workshops for professional
development. You will perform other duties as assigned.
