Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Interventional Radiology Technologist - Discipline: Allied Health Professional - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 10 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Job Title: Interventional Radiology Technologist Location: Charleston, WV Duration: 13 weeks Schedule: Day Shift, 4x10-hour shifts Position Summary: The Interventional Radiology Tech will provide specialized support in the Interventional Radiology vascular suite, assisting with peripheral angiography, venography, neuro-interventions, and other advanced vascular procedures. The role involves equipment setup, patient monitoring, sterile technique maintenance, and assisting in complex vascular interventions. Key Responsibilities: Set up and maintain equipment including fluoroscopy (Siemens preferred), PACS, and ultrasound. Perform EKG lead placement, prep access sites, and recognize life-threatening arrhythmias. Serve as room circulator or scrub tech maintaining sterile field during procedures. Assist with vascular closure systems such as Perclose and StarClose. Support advanced procedures including angiography, embolization, stent placements, thrombectomy, EVAR/TEVAR, and neurological studies. Maintain equipment inventory and stock supplies. Adhere to sterile technique and infection control protocols. Qualifications & Requirements: Minimum 1 year of Interventional Radiology or related vascular experience. ARRT(R) certification required; ARRT(VI)* and BLS* preferred. State licensure required; pending WV state license acceptable but must be active before start. Experience with Cerner charting system preferred. Ability to work 4x10-hour day shifts with on-call rotation, including weekends. Must have prior charge experience. Must provide minimum 2 manager or charge nurse references within the last 2 years. Candidate must live outside a 100-mile radius of the facility (75-100 miles considered case-by-case).
