Job Description:

A nursing position is available on the 1E MedSurg - Infectious Disease unit at Camden Clark Medical Center.





**Job Requirements:**

--- BLS certification is the only required certification.
--- Strong knowledge in MedSurg, Infectious Diseases, and Isolation precautions is necessary.
--- No requirement to titrate cardiac drips.
--- Ability to handle typical MedSurg IV medications and antibiotics is required.





**Schedule Information:**

--- Shifts are 12 hours long with a 1/2 hour lunch break.
--- Self-scheduling for permanent staff, with travelers scheduled as needed.
--- Every other weekend work is required with specific days depending on the shift.
--- Holidays may be required depending on the needs of the unit.
--- Callable or standby may be required for low census situations.





**Unit Specific Information:**

--- The unit's nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:5-6, or 1:4 if caring for COVID patients.
--- Typically staffed with 3-4 RNs per shift.
--- The unit is supported by 2 CNAs per shift.
--- No ventilator equipment on the unit; patients on Cpap, Bipap, or high flow are managed by Respiratory Therapy.
--- Remote telemetry is monitored from the 3rd floor, no requirement for RNs to read or interpret strips.
--- A Charge Nurse is present 24/7.





**Additional Details:**

--- Travelers must submit an unexpired copy of their driver's license upon hiring.
--- BLS certification must be from the American Heart Association.
