Fills in as needed in the department.
Functions as one of the department's primary contacts with patients.
Assists with clerical duties.Essential Functions:Performs phlebotomies.Drag -Edit -DeletePerforms laboratory Information System functions.Drag -Edit -DeleteMaintains a clean work area and proper stock on supplies.Drag -Edit -DeleteApplies knowledge of age-related factors appropriately to patients, utilizing appropriate polices and procedures.Drag -Edit -DeletePerforms clerical duties.Reports to: Phlebotomist Supervisor
Minimum Education
x High school diploma or equivalent --- Preferred x RequiredDrag -Edit -DeleteMinimum Education
Completion of a Phlebotomy course or equivalent training/experience or National Healthcareer Association Phlebotomy certification preferredDrag -Edit -DeleteRequired Skills
Certifications:
Basic Life Support (BLS) - to be obtained within 30 daysDrag -Edit -DeleteRequired Skills
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.Drag -Edit -DeleteRequired Skills
