The Charleston Area Medical Center Institute of Academic
Medicine (CAMC IAM)/West Virginia University (WVU) - Charleston
Division is seeking a visionary clinical and academic leader for
the position of Chief of Vascular Surgery. CAMC is the largest
teaching hospital in southern West Virginia. West Virginia
University Charleston Division is one of the oldest regional
campuses in the US, supporting hundreds of health professions
learners. The position will provide strategic and administrative
leadership of the Division of Vascular Surgery. The Chief will be
lead initiatives that support excellence in patient care, quality
improvement, research and education and growth of the Division.
This includes supporting the ACGME accredited vascular surgery
fellowship and integrated vascular surgery residency programs. The
full-time position reports to the Chair of the Department of
Surgery and offers a competitive compensation package and

for administrative and academic effort. Applicants must be board
certified in Vascular Surgery and eligible for licensure in the
state of West Virginia. Candidates must have a minimum of five
years of leadership experience with evidence of progressive
responsibility within the Division or Department in a teaching
hospital/health system or academic medical center. The ideal
candidate will have prior experience as a residency or fellowship
Program Director or Associate Program Director and an established
record of academic achievement. As a winner of the National

958-bed academic medical center and is southern West Virginia's top
health care provider with four hospitals and over 700 physicians on
