Independent Nurse Practitioner travelers can practice medicine in multiple centers locally, around the region, or across the country. Primary Responsibilities: Deliver the highest quality urgent care services, including: * Physical examinations * Incisions and drainage * Splinting * Suturing * Managing infection and wound care Required Qualifications: * Master's degree (MSN) and certification by one of the Nurse Practitioner certifying bodies (ANCC or AANP) as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) * 2+ years of experience working independently as a Nurse Practitioner * Unrestricted DEA license (or willing to obtain prior to start) * Must be CPR certified (or willing to obtain prior to start) * DOT certification (or ability to obtain within the first 60 days of employment) * Must be willing and able to assist at other centers Preferred Qualifications: * Clinical experience working as a provider in an emergency medicine or urgent care setting OptumCare is committed to creating an environment where physicians focus on what they do best: care for their patients.
