  Coordinates patient care with other departments.
  Assumes 24 hour responsibility for units' activities and evaluates the effectiveness of the staff and unit performance.Assesses units, patients and staffPlans for meeting the needs of the patient, staff, physicians, and hospitalPerforms prompt management duties for units under their supervisionInitiates self development mechanisms for professional growthDelivers direct patient care appropriate to age of patient served
  Minimum EducationGraduate from a School of Nursing / College Education Program. BSN or advanced education preferred.Required SkillsRequires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.Basic Life Support (BLS) to be obtained within 30 daysAdvanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) to be obtained within 6 months Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) to be obtained within 6 monthsLicenses:Required Licenses[West Virginia, United States] Other
  Current licensure by the WV State Board of Nursing.Minimum Work ExperienceFive years of nursing experience to include a minimum of one year nursing management experience.
