Job Description Job Description Designer / Field Tech - Power Distribution Location: Ceredo, WV 25507 (hybrid/2 day remote per wk) Hours: (M-F) 8a-5p (flexible once training completed) Job Description: Perform detailed design of overhead and/or underground electric distribution systems. This work includes the preparation of field notes, drawings, specifications, and design estimates. Visit job site to collect data and stake pole locations. Calculate where the poles are, and then design based on that data. Working closely with a variety of individuals, including engineers and experienced distribution system designers. Identifying broken poles, wires down, damage assessment, and running tickets will be needed during storms at times. Skills: Associate/Bachelor’s degree in electrical, civil, or mechanical engineering or similar discipline (Preferred) 0.5-2 years of line design (transmission, distribution, substation). Brown field or green field. (Preferred) Knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office applications Experience with AutoCAD or similar programs (Preferred) Analytical competence Ability to interact with a variety of individuals -Weekly pay, PTO & paid holidays, full benefits package offered if needed! Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ceredo, WV. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
