this position if you have no gear experience! We are currently
looking for individuals with great customer service experience to
work as Rental Technicians in our rental shops across the mountain.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
This position is responsible for the following job results:
- Maintains Guest Service Standards by providing guest with
information regarding the equipment, shop, resort, and area;
adhering to established policies regarding professionalism and
appearance; and working with employees of other Snowshoe Rental
shops, Ski School, OMS Front Desk to coordinate guest rental
activities
- Assures Guest Satisfaction by having great guest service,
teamwork, financial, safety, equipment knowledge, and liability
compliance
- Exhibits Team Play by supporting the Rental Store Manager and
Supervisor in day-to-day operations
- Contributes to Safe Working Environment by following
established safety guidelines, policies, and procedures; taking and
passing required certification tests; ensuring work areas are free
of clutter, debris, and hazards, and food/drink is in predetermined
break room, never on the floor or in front of guest
- Ensures Liability Compliance by collecting and Recording
Guest/Employee information; maintaining equipment records, setting
equipment to specified requirements
- Notifying repair shop personnel when equipment is damaged,
broken, or in need of scheduled maintenance by taking and passing
required certification tests
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS
DIRECT EXPERIENCE
Education: High School diploma or GED
Experience: No previous experience required for this position.

REQUIREMENTS
Any employee or volunteer who operates a company vehicle including
cars, trucks, snowcats, snowmobiles, or heavy equipment is required
to comply with the Driver's Standards Policy. This policy also
applies to employees or volunteers driving their personal vehicles
for company business more than four times per month, averaging 30+
miles per trip. All drivers should receive a full copy of the
Alterra Driver's Standards Policy; if you have not - please contact
your Risk/Safety or HR/EE Department.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
This position may be required to work evenings, weekends, and
holidays.
Office Environment:
- Able to lift, carry, or otherwise move and position a minimum
of 50 pounds daily.
- Auditory and visual acuity to operate computers, phones, mobile
devices, and basic office equipment on a constant basis.
- Ability to work for extended periods of time sitting, bending,
reaching, and speaking on a constant basis.
- Ability to work for extended periods of time standing, walking,
kneeling, pushing, and pulling on an occasional basis.
- Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of
communicating with guests, supervisors and other employees. To
perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to
perform each essential duty satisfactorily- reasonable

Mountain Environment:
- The primary physical environment in which this position works
is out of doors with a high exposure level to cold, snow, wind,
rain, bugs, sun, high altitude, extreme heights, lightning,
etc
- The degree of strenuous activity within the job is considered
to be high. Often lifting a weight of 50 pounds throughout the day
is common.
- Additional strenuous physical activity may include walking or
hiking upon uneven, challenging terrain with heavy tools or
equipment.
- Exposure to: Chemicals required for cleaning, de-greasing, and
painting Ultraviolet radiation from the sun enhanced through lack
of atmospheric filtration at work altitude. Fumes produced in
