Interventional Radiology Location: South Charleston, WV Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $3,381 per week Shift Information: Rotating - 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Job Title: Interventional Radiology Technologist Profession: IR Technologist Specialty: Interventional Radiology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 8H Days Monday - Friday; Weekends and holidays covered with rotating call Hours per Shift: 40 hours per week Experience: 1 year License: Not required Certifications: BLS, ARRT Must-Have: - Prior Cath Lab or Radiology Technologist experience. - Experience with diagnostic left and right heart catheterizations, PCI, IABP, Impella, temporary pacemakers, TCAR, EVAR, EKOS, AIF, IVC filters, infusaports, and permacaths. - Knowledge of sterile technique and ability to scrub and assist physicians during procedures. Description: The unit consists of two suites/labs. On average, there are 5-10 cases per day. Rad Techs are required to scrub in and assist the physician. They need to know and practice sterile technique. EKOS experience is preferred, but training can be provided. RNs are responsible for circulation, sedation, and documentation. Travelers with good experience are welcome, including those specializing in neuroradiology and vascular IR procedures. The department utilizes Siemens software and equipment. The on-call requirement includes 24/7 coverage. The weeks on call will be distributed based on a rotating schedule. Rad Techs will typically take one week of on-call duty for every four-week period. For any hours off the clock during that week, they will be on call. Weekend call requirements include coverage from Friday evening until Monday morning if not scheduled for Monday-Monday. Holiday call will also be rotational. Response time for call is expected to be within 30 minutes. There are opportunities for extra hours in other units if qualified. Surgical attire will be provided, although lead is not included. General hospital orientation and departmental computer training are included.
