Job Description Job Description Salary: Position Overview Under
close supervision utilizes tools to perform a wide variety of
non-craft, routine tasks for the DUF6 project. The specific work
assignment may include duties or activities to support the
organization in one or more of the following functional areas, in
addition to other duties as assigned: Functional: Lubricates
equipment (i.e., pumps, blowers, motors, roll compactors, etc.)
Performs janitorial duties (i.e., replaces light bulbs, disposes of
trash and rubbish) Performs carpentry duties (i.e., general
construction or shop work) Performs painting duties Completes road
and ground work Takes general care of vehicles (i.e., lubricates
all gasoline and diesel vehicles and mobile equipment in shop or
field) Performs manual and mechanical work Performs manual and
clerical work as needed in receiving, storage, surplus and salvage,
distribution, and shopping of materials Collects and interprets
data Operates vehicles, machinery, and equipment (i.e., operates
all types of light motor vehicles, such as automobiles, carryalls,
trucks under 4 tons, farm tractor and forklift; operates other
types of light mobile equipment occasionally as required)
Competencies: Requires valid state drivers license Requires
satisfactory completion of a physical examination Requires passing
a drug test Requires successful completion of all required training
Requires ability to put on, wear, and take off company-provided
personal protective equipment (PPE) Requires safe performance of
duties through adherence to plant good work practices, policies and
procedures Requires ability to work as a member of a team and share
responsibility Requires ability to display professional conduct
Requires ability to exert considerable manual effort Requires
ability to work to required specifications Requires prior
experience in an industrial setting with various skilled and
unskilled craft tasks Requires use of computers, basic math skills,
and mechanical terminology Minimum Requirements (Must meet DOE O
426.2 minimum requirements) : High School Diploma or equivalent 4
years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of
education and experience is required, which shall include: 2 years
of carpentry experience 1 years of painting experience 1 years of
laborer experience Ability to obtain and maintain a Homeland
Security Presidential Directive (HSPD-12) credential
